Good 19th Century Mahogany Campaign Decanter Box

1 of 6
Description
Good clean un-touched condition mid to late 19th century brass bound mahogany campaign decanter box. The box retains all its original finish and as such the brassware is a nice colour. Nice shape sunk in carrying handles to the sides. Nice shape name plate in the top with the name of J DES VOEUX engraved upon it. We believe this is HENRY JOHN DE VOEUX who was born in 1876 and was a colonial in the first world war amongst other wars he fought in. He was related to the famous Sir William Des Voeux who was the colonial Govenor of Hogn Kong in the 19th century. The box has a pleasing fitted interior which looks original to me, no decanters. The box is in very good original condition with no damage and no repairs.SIZE 8" square by 11" high
