Description

Eighteenth century handpainted enamel patch box featuring a design of a King Charles Spaniel on the main body of the box,c1770. Underneath on the top of the lid is the inscription "My friends interests prefer to anything I do over".
Inside the lid is a mirror and a plain enamel interior. The box is mounted with a brass ring which enables the box to close tightly. Measures 3.5cm x 2.7cm x 2.8cm.In excellent condition, no damage or restoration to the enamel. The mirror has slight marks due to age.
