Victorian hand painted silk and ebonised ladies fan.With a rustic scene surrounded by various nature and foliage scenery of brambles,bees and butterflies.Signed by the artist,H & C Rowley with an indistinct date of 188-?As the last number of the date is on a crease.Gilded decoration on the guardstick and gorge.In good condition,there is some slight wear to the silk on the ribs of the fan,but no tears or major damage.Fan measures when opened - 59cm.Length of guardstick - 32cm.
