Rare Huntley Palmer biscuit tin in the shape of a world globe was designed not only to hold cookies but to also be used as an educational toy. Made as a limited edition in 1906, this scare tin globe has a hinged lid and shows Great Britain and the extent of its territories (circa 1906) in pink.The antique tin globe shows age appropriate wear including dings, scratches, a few dents, discoloration, patina, and some paint loss.The vintage world globe is approximately 7 inches in diameter, and the tin stands approximately 7 1/2 inches tall including its feet and small handle on the lid.Slight damage to one hinge bracket.
