Description

Here we have a superb Arts & Crafts Silver Plate Punch Bowl. The punch bowl is very striking with a planished or hammered finish all over the body and a domed pedestal foot on a square base standing on four bun feet. The bowl has lion mask handles on each side and between these are George III copper pennies which have been plated over.

The punch bowl is silver plate on copper and dates to the Arts & Crafts era of the late 19th and early 20th century. There is no makers' mark on the bowl so we cannot say who manufactured it.

Condition is very good, with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. There is no significant plate loss with just a few coppery glints peeking through on the George III pennies. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The punch bowl is 27cm / 10.6ins in diameter and stands 21cm / 8.2ins high. It weighs in at 1.7kg / 60oz.

Shipping in the UK is £24.00 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the weight and value of the punch bowl.
