Description

This is a stylish Early 20th Century Wooden Sewing Box with Art Nouveau Pewter Mounts on the lid. The pine box is oblong with a hinged lid and a removable compartmented tray and space beneath.

There are no makers' marks of any kind on the box so we can't say who it was made by but it is British and dates to the Art Nouveau era between around 1900 and 1920.

Condition is good, with no splits in the wood and just the superficial wear and tear that you would expect from a work box with use and the passage of time. The hinges are in good working order but there is no key for the lock, so it is permanently in the unlocked position. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The box is 19cm / 7.5ins long, 13.8cm / 5.4ins wide, 5.9cm / 2.3ins high and weighs 337g / 11.9oz.

Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
