Description

Here we have a beautiful Early 20th Century Indian Silver Open Salt. The salt is of lobed form and decorated in the Kutch style with chased flowers and foliate decoration on each panel.

Like virtually all Indian silver this piece is unmarked but it is a good quality piece in a reasonable grade of silver and dates to the period between around 1900 and 1930.

Condition is very good with no dings or dents, no significant salt corrosion and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The salt is 5cm / 1.97ins in diameter and stands 3cm / 1.18ins high. It weighs in at a respectable 33.0g / 1.16oz.
