Description

This is a good quality Mid-Century Sterling Silver Napkin Ring with engine turned decoration. The Napkin Ring was made in Birmingham in 1960 by renowned silversmiths Broadway & Co, a firm founded in the early 1900s and still in business today. This is a well made item in a good gauge of silver.

The Napkin Ring is round with a flat base and engine turned decoration along the whole outside surface. There is a blank cartouche and no personalisation of any kind, making it particularly suitable to move on to a new owner. It would be an ideal gift for someone turning 60 during 2020.

Condition is very good with no dings or dents and only the most superficial surface wear. This napkin ring has been very well looked after for its 60 year existence. It would look completely at home on a modern dining table or make a good addition to a collection. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The Napkin Ring is 4.6cm across at its widest, 2cm deep and 3.8cm high. It weighs in at 13.2g of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks, which are well struck and clear to read, are the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter "L" for 1960 and the B & Co makers' mark for Broadway & Co.
