A top quality Edwardian silver plated drinks tray by Walker & Hall. Walker & Hall are one of the most famous names in English silver and silver plate. They are renowned for the high quality of their workmanship and their silver plate is always of the best standard. In addition they have a well documented date letter system for their silver plate which means that, unusually, you can tell the specific year that one of their pieces was made.

This is a circular tray with a gadrooned rim and a flower motif at the four compass points. There is also a flower design engraved into the centre of the tray, which is very clear to the eye but quite difficult to catch on a photograph. The tray stands on three bun feet. It is 31.2cm in diameter and it weighs a substantial 850g.

The tray is marked on both topside and underside. On the topside there is a small stamp of W & H and the Walker & Hall pennant logo. On the underside is the product number, the Walker & Hall pennant and the date letter "x" in a shield which means the tray was made in 1908.

The tray is in very good condition with no dings, dents or plate loss and only superficial surface scratching from well over a hundred years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
