Description

This is a top quality George V Sterling Silver Pepper Shaker in the shape of a Greek Urn. The Pepper Shaker is very elegant and stylish and was made by high end silversmiths Constantine & Floyd Ltd in Birmingham just after the First World War in 1919. The hallmarks on the side of the shaker are well struck and easy to read.

The Pepper Shaker is in excellent condition. There are no dings or dents and no corrosion and it seems to have had only minimal use or been extremely well looked after. There are some manufacturers' scratch marks on the underside of the base. This would grace any dining table, be a lovely gift or make an ideal addition to a collection.

Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The Pepper Shaker is 6.2cm high and 2.6cm in diameter at its widest part. It weighs 12.8g.
The hallmarks are the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date latter u for 1919 and the long CE & FD LD makers' mark for Constantine & Floyd Ltd.
