Buchanan and Laing (Prima Finds)

Description

An unusual colour opaline glass cylinder casket and matching ashtray, from Murano and the design dates to the 1960's. The cylinder still has its original Murano warranty label.

This is a non hinged version of the casket, with high quality gilt mounts, the same gilt mount and rests are on the tray.

Size: Cylinder 105 mm high and 65 mm diameter
Ash tray 28 mm high and 95 mm diameter
combined weight 626 gms

Condition is excellent, it doesn't appear to have been used , the glass is free of wear to the underside and the inside of the ashtray shows no sign of use. there is a small nick to the surface of the inside edge of the cover, this is the only flaw otherwise this would have qualified as a rare mint condition set.
The design is attributable to Fratelli Ferro.
