Description: A set of four French gilded bronze wall sconces from the Napoleon III period, second half of the 19th century.

The central shaft features a vertical pilaster tapering downwards and terminating in a cymatium with phytomorphic motifs and classical palmettes.

The central element features a classical mask with human-like features, while the arms unfurl symmetrically and terminate in camel heads and butterfly wings in the central section.

Origin: 19th century France.
