1930s 3 Drawer Oak Desk Government Issue

Description
What a cracker, marked with the Government Crown GR to the original brass cup handles. These were well constructed in solid oak, no ply on this old boy, decent sized drawers and altogether a damn good looking and very useful desk. It survives in good order with no wobbles, solid. We love the 3 drawer front look.Workshop report – The desk survives in good overall order. We have waxed the oak frame and drawer runners. The worn green leather tooled top, a historic replacement, is aged and does have marks but nothing fresh. The brass marked cup handles are again nicely tarnished (5 minutes with Brasso would make them shine, if that’s your look), we prefer the original feel. The drawers do have the odd ink mark inside but not new. Overall, it’s in great historic order.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.
Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions
If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.
On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
