Antique Early 19th Century Mahogany Breakfront Cabinet Secretaire Bookcase Rent Desk, circa 1820An early 19th century flamed mahogany breakfront cabinet and secretaire bookcase. Of excellent colour and patination. Having been situated in a renowned solicitor's office for over 100 years.
Very well carved moulded cornice, with Gothic arch astragal glazed doors to the upper section. 16 fitted shelves.
The lower section benefiting from a bank of 8 drawers, with a fitted central secretaire section. This having six alphabetised compartments for the collection of rent.
A simply divine and completely original functional piece of furniture. Very solid and sturdy.
