Description

Very nice French painted caned Bergere king size bed. Original naturally aged paintwork has been cleaned and waxed to preserve. Pretty carved swag detail of flowers and garlands. Fluted turned legs, Original cane in good condition cleaned and waxed. Side rails have been extended to support modern length king size mattress. 150cm x 200 cm. The bed does measure 160cm to the outside edge so it is possible that this bed could take a160cm x 200 cm mattress.

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2" deep upholstered mini box base for £225. (As used in photograph) We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices from £250-£750. Please ask for details or look at mattress section of our own web site.

We do have many beds awaiting restoration if you are looking for a particular style and can send images if requested. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.
