Retirement Sale, sale price £25.00A History of the Ancient City of Chester by George Lee Fenwick 1896.
Published by Phillipson & Golder, Eastgate Row.
The book was given to The Reverent Mother Sisters, Dee House Covent Chester 21st Dec 1986 from the author. The Ursulines another religious movement took over Dee House in 1925.
Very interesting book with plans & illustration's. The map showing the ground plot of Chester in 1653 is in 2 parts, the glue has broken down, it is all there but we have left it as is. There is water damage to the back of the book & is in the section of the index of names.Please see photos.
Size 11.75" by 9.25"
Book is in OK condition for age.
