Description
Antique Pewter Coffee Pot.Manufactured by James Dixon & Sons, the makers stamp on this coffee pot was used between 1842 & 1851.
The mark reads James Dixon & Sons, Best Britannia Metal.
The bulbus shaped body is surmounted by a lid with a bulbus finial.
Petal design to upper handle, 2 ceramic ferrals to handle. The spout is multi faceted giving a very elegant look.
The coffee pot has seen many years of use as can be seen by 5 dents to the lower body work ( clumsy servants )
A great decorative item.
