Antique Oak Deed Box

Description
Oak banded and lined deed box, with working lock and key, c.1900.Beautiful little box for the keeping of private papers etc. Would make a great christening box.
Condition is good structurally and fair finish wise, being somewhat scuffed. It would benefit from being stripped but it might lose some character then. Certainly easy enough to strip though, and the attractive diagonal bands would probably be more noticeable.

As a guideline, a chest of drawers to London is usually £50 and comes within 1-2 weeks. You might wait up to 3-4 weeks to far flung corners of the country. If that's too long, we can arrange another courier but that might be more expensive.
Help with larger items will be required your end, unless you pay for an extra body (not cheap..) and whilst he doesn't just dump it at the kerbside, he'll grumble if he has to do four trips up three flights of stairs, in which case, ask nicely, give him a bit extra and offer him a cup of tea..
