A fine large highly decorative painted plaster bust by Dominic Brucciani and co. numbered and stamped with the makers name. D Brucciani was a 19th century firm that specialised in the production of reproductions of classical sculptures, many from the British Museum. Antinous was a contemporary of the Roman emperor Hadrian. Height is 72 cms. Width at the shoulders approx. 54 cms. Condition is good with no damage or visible restorations.
