Exquisite and rare bronze and marble desk piece depicting a mythical Griffin with elaborately cast wings and whose body is a beautifully detailed shell. Fabulous original condition. Regency period (early 19th Century). Dimensions, length 7.5 inches, width 4 inches, height 4.75 inches. Originally used as a decorative dressing table gentlemans ring or cuff-link "Vide Poche".
