This period hand coloured stipple engraving was engraved by one of the masters of 18th c century engravings Francesco Bartolozzi
Francesco Bartolozzi was born in Florence for approx 40 years throught out the georgian period he lived and worked in England becoming one of the leading engravers of the period becoming the royal engraver to George the Third he also engraved a number of plates for boydell and also was President of the Society of Engravers.
