It was in burford village that William Morris desided to found the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings when he visited Burford in 1876.
Sheep Street has some very fine mixture of buildings that can be found in the Cotswolds, most of the buildings are from the 16th and 17th centuries, but some buildings are older.
