Robert Walker Macbeth 1848-1910 is a highley listed artist a very well known artist being a member of the r. a . painter of pastoral landscapes and rustic scenes he was a accomplished print maker being an etcher, watercolourist and painter of high regard. He was the son of the portrait painter Norman Macbeth .
Robert walker macbeth painted realistic scenes of life, and was influenced by the works of the landscape and pastoral painter George Hemming Mason and the genre painter and watercolourist Frederick Walker,
Macbeth exhibited from 1871 at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Grosvenor Gallery, New Gallery, Fine Art Society, Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham, Royal Scottish Academy, Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery.
