Alvar Aalto Hallway Chair Model No.403 by Finmar. Designed by Alvar Aalto.
An early production of one of Aalto’s classic designs. A classic piece of Scandinavian modernism, the Hallway chair was originally made for the Paimio Sanitorium. Bent ply seating rests on the solid birch frame. The chair bears the shadow of the Finmar label to the underside indicating that it was produced for the UK market before 1950. We have had this sympathetically re-finished to a high standard. Measures 76.5 cm x 52.5 cm wide x 72 cm deep
