Description

Rather lovely wall cabinet in mahogany by Shapland and Petter of Barnstable . The door features an inlaid panel of exotic woods portraying flying doves and entwined tulips very reminiscent of the work of Baillee Scott . The drop handle from the door is probably missing although the lock , which is stamped , is working with the key supplied . There is also a slight candle burn to the underside of one shelf ( see photo ) the supports of which are decorated with yin/yang cut outs on both sides . It has been cleaned and waxed and actually looks better in real life .
