Description

A very attractive late 19th cent miniature French provincial dresser in excellent original condition probably either a travelling salesman’s sample or made by an apprentice to show off his skills. The carvings and turnings are of very high quality. Sizes: 9”(23cms) wide, 5 ½ “(14cms) deep, 14 ½ “(37cms) high. Date circa 1890.
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
