Description

A very attractive Arts and Crafts anodised copper box, this has in the past, been attributed to A. E. Jones, who in 1805 became associated with Thomas Birket. The hinged top has a raised decorative central panel with four inlaid stones. The original interior is made in mahogany, the three interior partitions are missing, otherwise the original condition of this box is absolutely excellent. Sizes: 9 ¾ “(25cms) wide, 6 ¼ “(16cms) deep, 4 ¾ “(12cms) high. Date circa 1905.
I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
I source my stock through many contacts built up over the years. This continues to consist of carefully chosen high quality 17th 18th and 19th century of furniture, particularly specialising in articles with their own fine original colour and also many interesting smaller items of the same periods.
I am always very happy to answer any questions or queries that you might have, This is part of the service that I am delighted to give.
