Description

A tall, very elegant, mahogany, William 1V period circular dumb waiter or buffet stand. This has three tiers, each edged with a spindle gallery and supported by elegant turned columns, all standing on a platform base with shaped feet. The original colour is exceptional and it is in excellent condition. Sizes 57 ½ “(146cms) high. Diameter of the tiers from the bottom 24”(61cms), 20”(51cms), 16”(41cms). Date circa 1830.
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
