Description

A lovely arts and crafts copper plant pot with nicely contrasting brass details that are riveted on in the traditional manner. It was made by Birmingham copper smiths William Soutter & Son around 1880. This pot has some patina to the copper and makes a great display piece The repousse spear design continues around the pot making an attractive feature. This pot has been used and there are two very minor knocks to the side that have been hammered out. The age of this pot is reflected in its good but used condition. The height of the piece is 17cm, the width at the rim is 23cm and the base measures 21cm. The base is stamped for the makers.
