Victorian Silver Campagna Wine Cooler, London 1840 Hallmarked.
A silver campagna shaped wine cooler with acanthus leaf decorated body.
Used as a horse racing trophy. Engraving reads 'Cowbridge hunt races. Presented By. Edward P Richards and Wyndham Lewis. To. J J Ballard the owner of Jezabel. 11th Nov 1853.
Engraved by H. Grant Silversmiths, Duke Street Cardiff.
Wonderful griffin crest holding a broken spear.
Makers: John Evans II of London.
Weight: 1159g. (37.25 Troy Ounces)
