victorian silver claret jug made by charles boyton, london 1892,
hobnailed cut glass body with silver bacchus face masks either side and vine leaves with grapes,vine style handle surmounted by rampant lion holding the letter c for claret
condition silver is very good, the base of the jug has some light scratches to the starburst base and very minor small chips to the base. there is a very small amount of staining to the very base of the jug.
height 11 1/4 inches 28.5cms
widest point spout to handle 7 inches 18cms
