Description

A walnut framed wall mirror by Stanley Webb Davies of Windermere. Stanley Webb Davies pieces are very rare and highly sought after, representing understated Arts and Crafts furniture at its very best in the Cotswold School style of Gimson and the Barnsley's. Every piece is totally unique. Stanley Webb Davies was an Oxford history graduate who trained as a cabinet maker in Romney Green's workshop in Christchurch, Hampshire. By 1926 Stanley Webb Davies had established his own workshop at Windermere, in the Lake District.
The frame has been re polished. The mirror has a beveled edge, there is some minor spotting consistent with age.
