Stunning cast iron surround with superb detail and decoration to the casting This is one of the finest cast iron surrounds that we have had, it is a great size and would instantly make a room, either to put back a period feature or to be used

The surround comes in a polished finish, which highlights all of the beautifully designed casting detail. Comes with an insert, not with a basket though, but helps reduce the opening of the hearth

Circa 1870, marked "The Rotherham" possibly from the famous James Yates Rotherham foundry
