Croydon Park Football Club solid silver presentation cigarette case - hallmarked Birmingham 1912 on both case and lid. Engraved inscription reads 'Presented to Mr P.G.Ward in appreciation of his services as Hon. Sec. of Croydon Park F.C. 1906-1912.'
Now over 100 years old it is in pretty good condition considering that it will have been carried in a pocket for a good part of its life but does have the odd little dent and ding - however it has not been polished to within an inch of its life so machining and engraving is still good and metal not worn thin. As you will see elastic retainers have been replaced with inappropriate knicker, pant or suspender elastic but otherwise an interesting and scarce piece of soccer memorabilia.
