Description

Rare Royal Automobile Club type 2 (1960-73 premium edition) chrome plated brass and enamel grill badge (also used by the Automobile club of Tasmania). The enamel centre is removable from the solid Brass outer ring and is held in with a centre screw.
This was the very last RAC badge made from chromium plated brass and enamel and weighs 325 grams. All other badges of this design and period are made of plastic.
Marked on the back property of the RAC and made by HB Sale Ltd, Birmingham. A must if you own a car from this period and you wish to treat it to the very best of the post war RAC badges in truly superlative original condition..
