An Early 17th Century carved and inlaid oak chest .West Country
The three panel front with a fine carved burst of foliage with central square cartouche, being divided by inlaid stiles with carved central leaf, above this a fine lunette decorated frieze rail which continues around the sides with twin lozenge panels .
The plank lid with a central lozenge and geometric border which would have originally also been inlaid.
A strinking chest of fine quality.
