English Medieval Stone Recumbent Lion.A very relaxed recumbent lion carved from a solid block of standstone .
Carved to the front face with rounded sides and back showing weathering to the head and mane area.
A good looking early Lion that is more relaxed in appearance than the later ferocious Tudor Lions.
