Description

Late 17th Century Country Oak Dressing Table.

Country with a splash of folk ,this oak table has two long drawers with applied moulding with drop handles.

But this is where it gets folky and unusual ,the legs are like skittles with a knop turning above ,united by a box stretcher.

All edges have been rounded off or slightly concaved except the plank top which give it a softer more folky look.

Pegged all round with a lovely colour ,the handles are later additions ,i have never seen a table like this before which makes me believe it to be estate made and a one off.

The draw runners are later and two boards in the bottom drawer are later.

Terrific colour.
