Description

George III West Country Country Oak Bacon Settle

Recently removed from a cornish farmhouse.

Full of charm this one it has a lean to the right and a glourious natural colour ,originally built in at one end, having a pair of triple panelled cupboard doors flanked to either side by conforming panels, the flat shaped open arms on rectangular section front supports, the hinged single boarded seat above a quadruple panelled front and panelled facing left hand side.Originaly built into the wall so as one can imagine the back boards have gone but it has been traditionaly repaired with riven chestnut planks and hand cut nails the floor has long gone and has been replaced with an oak plank base.

Love it or hate it,not a purist item but if its country you are after then here it is.

52" Wide
