Description

An Early 17th Century Carved Oak Salisbury Table.

A Solid base with chunky legs with column turnings (this is mentioned in Chinnery page 454 )that is a common design in Salisbury chairs .

The stretchers also are chunky ,the rails carved with a double lunette to all four sides.

The plank top is an 18th century association.

Dimensions are

66.5" Wide

33" Deep

30" high.

Salisbury tables of this type are rare ,although the top is associated the colour match is perfect with a great patina and signs of wear in all the right places,a good solid table.
