Description

A Wonderful 18th Century Welsh Oak Squires Chair Of Large Proportions

Circa 1750

Of simple form but with a formal twist, the back is of plain design with sturdy timbers used for the top rail and back rail ,both with wonderful signs of wear with a honey colour patina ,constructed with mortice and tenon where as the front legs are turned half way up and the arms have a deep sweep on them again chunky timber is used but this is of pegged construction.

This must have been the squires or head chair as it is built on a large scale.

In total original condition with a wonderful colour and patina and signs of wear in all the right places.
