Description

A late 18th century hampshire / sussex border iron rushnip on a tripod base.

A spring action holder of a style from the hampshire / sussex borders.

The heavy thumbpiece with a pointed end with fla jaws.
Provenance lot 1094 ,Nyetimber manor sothebys 27/09/2001

The spring has gone ,a piece of curled metal has been put in to keep the jaws closed and there is a slight bend to one of the legs.
