Description

A fine pair of english 16th century oak romayne panels.

One with a male profile with a forked tongue,the other a great face with an oversized hat,both profiles within roundles with foliage or beasts beneath


Circa 1530,on the back marked from the drumond collection,i am currently looking into this and will update any information that i find.

In good condition,signs of old worm and glue on the back as they were stuck to later panels,the timber used is thin and the carving of good quality.
