Description

An early 17th century welsh oak dole cupboard of boarded construction.

A rare item seldom seen .

The front with three carved panels with welsh swirl design and all pierced for ventilation.

The top with a lift up lid and the boarded sides with v cut feet.

In good condition with untouched surface.

The back feet have been tipped and the top interior board and hinges have been replaced
Purchased in scotland ,this item came from slate hall in halifax where it was owned by the burne family since 1810.

A very interesting item and of small proportions.
