FREE delivery on this item (Mainland England/Scotland/Wales). An antique George III mahogany concave mirror dating from circa 1790. Inlaid with stringing, the concave plate within a moulded surround. This attractive mirror was likely formally part of a zograscope and now makes a fun hall mirror. Zograscopes where popular parlor amusements in the 18th and early 19th century. They were devices used for enhancing the sense of depth perception from flat pictures or hand coloured engravings called vue d’optique prints.
