Description

An unusual and very decorative antique Victorian mahogany double hanging towel rail dating from circa 1880. The solid mahogany backboard with two metal rods supported by serpentine carved and pierced supports topped with turned finials. The whole piece dismantles to allow screws to be fitted to attach it to the wall, and slots back in on dowels and is finished with decorative caps to hide the screws. A rare survivor, this beautiful towel rail would add a touch of style to any period bathroom.
