A charming pair of antique Victorian balloon back chairs in rosewood dating from circa 1860. Good quality examples with beautifully figured rosewood frames with good patina, carved top and cross rails, stuff-over seats and turned and carved legs. Upholstered in a pale green velour type fabric. Solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful pair of side chairs.

Solid and sturdy frames. Lovely age and patina to the rosewood. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Upholstery in good condition, a few small marks here and there. An old but solid split to the upright of one chair, a few old worm holes underneath, veneer lifting to back seat rail of one chair.
