Description

A cast iron Egyptian Revival sphinx boot scraper in the manner of Archibald Kenrick & Sons dating from circa 1900. The grate flanked by two sphinx raised on plinths with a recess within the plinth of each for a boot brush. The whole is surrounded by a foliate border. Lots of age and wear and some corrosion to the underside.

Solid and ready for use. Some wear and some corrosion to the underside. Has been repainted several times.
