A charming signed Victorian English School watercolour townscape by the well listed artist C.J. Keats RBA. Dating from circa 1890. Depicting a Medieval view of “Louvain” in the Flemish region of Belgium. A busy scene with figures in traditional dress and market traders selling their wares. In the distance bats rise from a medieval belfry and smoke emanates from the chimney tops of houses below. A well-executed 19th Century painting by the well listed artist C.J Keats who specialised in architectural studies, continental street scenes and townscapes. Presented in an attractive glazed gilt frame.

Fair overall condition. Some foxing to the watercolour near the top. Some slight damage to the frame edges.
