Description

A charming antique Victorian oak aneroid circular ships barometer dating from circa 1880 made by Batty & Son of Manchester and Southport. Featuring a circular gilt brass bezel with chamfered flat glass over a white dial with black inches of mercury pressure index, with makers name and an anchor to the middle. The deep moulded rope twist carved oak case with superb patina and graining.

In good working condition, having been recently calibrated. General wear and marks commensurate with age. good colour and patina to the oak case. Bezel tarnished in places.
